There are plenty of women’s retreats out there.
But most were built inside the very systems that burned us out in the first place.
They ask us to perform our healing. To smile, to stay positive, to be polished and grateful and graceful while we unravel.

But that kind of culture—rooted in perfectionism, toxic positivity, and performance doesn’t make space for truth. Or grief. Or rage. Or the messy middle where real sisterhood lives.

Return to Her was created to break that mold. To challenge systems that reward performance.

To offer a space where women can stop performing—and finally just be.

There are four main pillars that set us apart from other retreats:

We don’t offer luxury in the traditional sense.
There are no curated aesthetics. No exclusive club. No velvet ropes of wellness.

 

What we offer is something deeper. A soft bed. A warm meal. A space where you don’t have to perform strength or smile through pain. A place where rest isn’t reserved for the privileged. It’s offered freely, as a birthright.

2. Matriarchal by Design

This isn’t just a women-only retreat. It’s a matriarchal space, built on values that have long been dismissed in patriarchal culture: softness, slowness, truth, emotional safety, and collective care. This is a space where women don’t have to explain themselves. Where leadership is shared, and power is intuitive. There is no male presence. No male gaze. No translation needed.

3. Non-Performative and Deeply Real

You don’t have to perform healing here. You don’t have to smile through the pain or pretend to be further along than you are. There’s no pressure to journal, to do yoga, or to speak if you’re not ready.

This is a space that honors what’s real—and this kind of honesty isn’t just welcome. It’s the culture we’re here to create. A culture where presence matters more than performance, and where every woman is invited to show up exactly as she is.

This sanctuary was created for all women. Not just those who fit a certain image. Women of color. Disabled women. Fat women. Queer women. Neurodivergent women. Women who have never felt safe in “healing” spaces before. You don’t have to look or sound a certain way to belong here. If you’ve ever felt like you were too much or not enough, this space was built with you in mind.
